The climate of Fushan is strongly influenced by the northeastern monsoon in winter and by typhoon in summer. At elevation ranging from about 400 to 1400 m, it is cool and rainy in winter , but warm and humid in summer, with an average temperature of 18.2°C, a mean annual precipitation of more than 4000 mm, and a mean relative humidity (RH) of 95.1%.

There are several automatic weather stations located in the Fushan Experimental Forest to monitoring climate. The Fushan nursery weather station has been established since 1992 and is maintained as a base station for long term climate record for Fushan LTER site. Please see the average temperature of Fushan which is illustrated below.
